The word “food” (taam) is used 48 times in the Quran with all its derivatives. We all know that produce makes up a big share in what we eat. The word “produce” (semerat) is used in the Quran, with all its derivaties 24 times, half as many of the word “food.” Below are two verses where these words are used:
214- Or giving food in a day of privation.
90-The Town, 1427- Did not you see that God sends down rain from the sky?
